Nexira | Fabric Care & Longevity Guide

Our sleepwear is crafted from delicate, high-performance fibers designed for enduring softness. To maintain the tactile integrity and silhouette of your Nexira pieces, we recommend the following professional care standards.

1. The Washable Silk Collection

Our silk is treated for modern convenience but requires gentle handling.

  • Machine Wash: Use a mesh laundry bag. Select the 'Delicate' or 'Hand Wash' cycle with cold water ($<30°C$ / $86°F$).

  • Detergent: Use only pH-neutral liquid detergents specifically formulated for silk. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as they degrade silk proteins.

  • Drying: Do not tumble dry. Lay the garment flat on a clean towel or hang to air dry away from direct sunlight to prevent fiber oxidation.

  • Ironing: Use the lowest silk setting while the garment is still slightly damp, or steam gently.

2. The Airy Cotton & Piped Collection

Crafted for breathability and structural resilience.

  • Temperature: Machine wash cold with like colors to prevent color bleeding and maintain fiber tension.

  • Detergent: Mild, eco-friendly detergents are recommended.

  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Remove promptly from the dryer to minimize wrinkles.

  • Ironing: Warm iron as needed. For our piped sets, iron the trim on the reverse side to preserve the edge definition.

3. General Tips for Longevity

  • Rotate Your Wear: Allowing natural fibers to rest for 24 hours between wears helps maintain their shape.

  • Stain Treatment: Treat spills immediately with cold water. Never rub silk; always blot gently.
